Now that we have had some time to reflect on the conversations had at WTM, one thing is clear: the adoption of smart, modern technology is no longer a ‘nice-to-have’ for travel companies looking to stand out from the competition, it’s essential.
The industry may have a reputation for being slow to embrace technology. However, weaving through the travel tech area filled with companies promoting AI, VR, and other cutting-edge digital tools told a different story. Now the race is on to adopt smarter travel technology to stay one step ahead of competitors.
It was brilliant to meet so many new travel brands and reconnect with those already using Vamoos to elevate their client experience. Across the three high-energy days, two key themes kept coming up:
In particular our conversations found technology, and specifically Vamoos, can assist travel companies in adapting to the following industry changes:
The massive turnout to WTM this year was a reminder of just how competitive this industry has become. Once that booking’s in, the work is far from over to maintain client loyalty. We spoke to companies looking to extend their brand experience well beyond the return flight, with smarter post-trip communications to drive repeat bookings.
AI is playing a big role here too. From using it to develop itineraries and emails, travel brands are getting more creative with how they use automation to personalise and cultivate client loyalty. Vamoos’s Inspirations feature drew a lot of attention, it’s already helping tour operators drive repeat bookings by delivering beautifully targeted content in just a few taps and holding engagement even after the journey is over.

Travel agents today need to stay present throughout the entire customer journey, all while juggling a heavy workload. So it’s no surprise they’re on the lookout for tech that’s flexible, modular, and tailored to how they work. Using templates to streamline itinerary creation and having documents stored in one location, were key features travel companies were looking for so they can work on growing their business and spending more time with clients.
Vamoos brings all of that together in one place, helping teams communicate and organise more effectively, and keeping the post-holiday blues at bay.

Watch now: How to WOW the Modern Traveller
In travel, content isn’t just decoration, it’s differentiation, so ensuring it is front and centre to grab attention is a must. The best travel brands are moving away from tired stock imagery and bringing creators along to capture real, compelling moments. We all know that the world is cluttered with media, so these efforts can be pointless if the content is not positioned where it can be seen and admired.
It was no surprise that Vamoos’s visual-first approach really resonated, we’ve always known that quality imagery isn’t just about wow-factor, it’s the key to elevating your brand and building anticipation and differentiation across every stage of your client’s journey.

One of the biggest talking points at our stand was Imsert, our brand new AI-powered image management platform. It’s built for travel brands who want to spend less time on admin and more time delighting clients. By automating itinerary creation processes and enhancing imagery use, this feature really resonated with travel companies.
